Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Registered as Professional Engineering in BC (P.Eng.), Engineer in Training (EIT) or
candidate to be registered as an EIT.
- Min. 3 years’ experience in structural engineering.
- Experienced in structural designs of referenced concrete, steel and wood buildings.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Mathcad, and AutoCAD.
- Familiar structural design software (SAP 2000, Woodworks, ... ).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, time management and organizational skills.
- Able to work effectively independently or excellent team player.
- Possess a valid BC driver’s license.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for a variety of projects.
- Preparation of structural consulting drawings and shop drawings for building permit and
construction.
- Review shop drawings for structural requirements.
- Perform detailed structural design calculations.
- Field review of structural related construction and prepare technical reports.
- Provide structural engineering support during construction.
- Communication and coordination with clients and architects.
About the job:
T. N. Engineering Ltd. was established in 2006 to provide structural consulting engineering
services in BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. We are seeking for a professional and highly
organized structural technologist. The right candidate is able to read, interpret, and prepare
structural engineering plans and details in AutoCAD. Knowledge of reinforced concrete,
structural steel, light gage steel, aluminum, glass, and wood framing are required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (Structural Engineering of Building Division will
be plus)
- Able to read and interpret for BC Building Code, architectural and structural drawings
- Ability to work accurately under pressure
- Familiar with AutoCad 2016 and excellent general computer skills
- Good understanding of construction practices in various building materials
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Positive attitude and work ethics and strong problem solving abilities

services in BC, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. We are seeking for a draftsperson who is able to
work independently and efficiently after a short period of training session.. The right candidate is
able to read and prepare structural and architectural drawings in AutoCAD for single family
house, commercial tenant improvement, residential/ commercial building renovation. Knowledge
of structural components in buildings is required.
